The Dream
When I studied at the University of Sigmund Freud, dreams took on a new meaning for me. I began to understand them not as random images, but as emotional messages. Freud once said that dreams are never concerned with trivialities, and that idea stayed with me. Much like a photograph can appear random yet hold deep personal significance, dreams reveal what lies beneath our waking emotions.
In my art, I try to translate that feeling - the way dreams mix emotion, memory, and imagination. I’m fascinated by how blurred or abstract images, like those in Impressionist paintings, can stir something inside us. Studies show that this kind of imagery activates the amygdala, the part of the brain that processes emotion and instinct. That connection between what we see and what we feel inspires my work.
