Trying to Read

This work emerges from a week-long attempt to read a scientific paper for my postgraduate studies in ADHD and neurodiversity. I eventually recognized that it wasn’t just my eyesight; my dyslexia was taking over, pulling letters apart or together, twisting words into shifting forms, and erasing clarity. I realized I had to print out all 30 pages to be able to read it. To externalize this experience, I printed the same text twice: once on paper and once on transparent film. The transparency stands for the digital screen I was reading from, which creates even more difficulties. As the two layers move across each other, they distort, blur, and misalign, echoing the instability I face each time I try to read.
